Dr Justin Christensen is currently working as a research associate at the University of Sheffield.
He has completed periods of post-doctoral research at the University of Saskatchewan and Aalborg University in Denmark after earning his PhD in music at the University of Southampton. He is currently investigating the development of musical tools for people living with dementia and researching the benefits for people living with dementia to engage and coordinate with family members when performing meaningful music together.
His previous research has focused on the behavioural mechanisms and musical cues that affect the sense of agency experienced while playing music together.
